Over the course of ten years, he had donned many different masks, lived in more than fifteen countries, and spoke five languages. On June 13, 1994, 13-year-old Nicholas Barkley disappeared in San Antonio, 23-year-old Pierre Bourdain had no difficulty in convincing the police and, most importantly, the family of the missing teenager, he took on the role of Nicholas.
