Description

About a year ago, Dima and Tanya traveled across Indonesia — hitchhiking, walking, taking ferries, riding in trucks, and even on bus rooftops. The islands of Sumatra, Java, and Borneo became their path: from jungles with orangutans to volcanoes, from fishing villages on the ocean shore to remote settlements deep in the tropical rainforest.

They lived with Dayaks and Bataks, hitchhiked on roads where tourists are rare, and slept in mosques and strangers' huts. Meanwhile, a mischievous cat living at the foot of a volcano was making their lives difficult — but that's another story.

Next Monday, in our space, there will be a meeting where Tanya and Dima will share how to travel through Indonesia by hitchhiking — without knowing the language, without a big budget, and without fear of the unknown.

You will learn:
● How to find a place to stay in villages and mosques when night falls and there are no hotels.
● How not to be afraid of police, crocodiles, and tropical diseases.
● How to use ferries between islands — and sometimes even ride for free.
● What you need to know about daily life, culture, and traditions across different regions — from Muslim villages to Batak and Dayak tribes.
● What mistakes you should avoid when visiting locals.
● And what to do if you find yourself deep in the Borneo jungle, two days away from the nearest town.

Expect many stories, practical advice, and lively discussions — perfect for those who want not just to visit Indonesia but to truly experience it.
