This year, the great Georgian director Otar Iosseliani would have turned 91. In memory of the late master, we will hold a small film marathon featuring his short films.
The screening will include Watercolor, Sapovnela, An Old Georgian Song, and a documentary prologue to Falling Leavesabout winemaking traditions in Georgia.
After the films, there will be a discussion where we will explore Iosseliani’s early steps in cinema, the development of his cinematic language, and his unique approach to sound.
The screening and discussion will be hosted by film critic and director Yuri Mikhaylin.
