Jay Kelly, a famous actor and audience favorite at the peak of his career, is going through a crisis of self-doubt. He’s in a bad place emotionally: his love life is a mess — no one is left by his side, his daughters have grown up, one will only speak to him during family therapy sessions, and the other is leaving for college.

In an attempt to escape from himself, Jay sets off on a journey across Europe with his loyal assistant.
