Jackie Brown

A flight attendant tries to escape with a large sum of money, outsmarting both the police and the criminals she works for. The title role was played by Pam Grier — a blaxploitation star, an actress adored by Tarantino, who was mentioned alongside Madonna in the dialogues of “Reservoir Dogs”. Tarantino himself called it a film of delayed impact, one that you would like more a month after watching it than immediately after.

The images of “Jackie Brown” are not shocking, the action develops more slowly, and the characters lack caricatured features and call for more attentive acquaintance.
