Tbilisi Concert Hall (Tbilisi State Philharmonic) is a concert organization located on Merab Kostava Street, 36/1. This is one of the main attractions of the capital of Georgia. The largest concerts and important cultural events with the participation of local and foreign performers are held on the stage of the Philharmonic. The Philharmonic Concert Hall was built in 1971 according to the design of the architect I. Chkhenkeli. At the beginning of the 21st century, the hall was completely renovated. The Philharmonic Concert Hall has a main hall with 2,500 seats and a small hall with 750 seats. In 2001, a “Walk of Stars” was set up near the Philharmonic building, among those represented were the founder of the Georgian National Ballet Nino Ramishvili, the famous singer Nani Bregvadze, violinist Liana Isakadze, vocal and instrumental ensembles “Orera” and “Iveria”, composer Bidzina Kvernadze, artists Eter Kakulia, Teimuraz Tsiklauri and others. In 2014, the Philharmonic was named after composer Alexi Machavariani. In front of the hall there is a bronze sculpture “Muse” by sculptor Merab Berdzenishvili.
