Historical Club "Italian Innovations"

As we conclude our examination of the history of Genoa, we take a bird's eye view of Italy's contributions to the political, military and economic development of late Middle Ages Europe: bills of exchange, international clearing, the commercialization of war, new forms of fortification, and civilian control of the armed forces. The meeting will be moderated by historian Mikhail Arnautov.
