Interactive lecture “Abuse or norm: how to recognize violence in queer relationships?”

At the meeting we will look at cases from real life: do they contain signs of violence or are these completely normal situations that can be encountered in any relationship 🙌 Come to the meeting to check yourself, your contact with your partners and learn more about the peculiarities of partner violence in queer relationships. And also meet like-minded people. We will discuss: ● How to distinguish flirting from stalking? ● How do you know where the fine line is between caring and control? ● How do BDSM practices differ from abuse? The meeting will be led by: ● Alla Chikiinda is an activist, feminist and co-founder of the “Let’s Cope Together” project. ● Tatyana Kalinina is a femme and queer activist, founder of the lesbian community Cheers Queers. Organizers: “Let's Cope Together” is an all-Russian network of assistance to LGBTQ+ people who find themselves in situations of partner or domestic violence or who are violent. ● Cheers Queers is a community that brings together lesbians around the world to connect, support and increase representation of the lesbian experience in all walks of life. 📆 March 19, 21:00.📍 Betlemi, 23. Description

Often violence in queer relationships remains invisible due to homophobia. Survivors find it difficult to get help or find safe spaces to talk about partner violence. Together with the Let's Cope Together project, we will meet to talk about how to recognize violence in queer relationships.
