Description

Kalinausko 6-2 is Ingeborga’s haunting, joyful and evocative recounting of one Eastern European family and their stories.

Her family have always celebrated a Lithuanian Christmas in a singular way over the decades, through proscriptions and occupations, through the enforced secrecy of the Soviet Union and through the euphoria of a hard-won independence.

Before each Christmas supper a formal wish is spoken – Let there be no fewer of us around this table next year.

Speaking of the shared continuity of life, death, hardship and joy, the play conjures up with wit and insight, horror and humour, the fraught and fractured history of eastern Europe in the twentieth century.

Theatre Factory 42 is a new independent theater space located in Didube, Tbilisi Industrial Center, Tsereteli 114, TBILISI FACTORY area. Theater Workshop 42 was created by Levan Tsuladze. The aim of the theater is to develop independent theatrical art in the form of plays, performances, dramaturgy, co-productions - to create and integrate a real platform of the creative industry in the cultural, economic and social development of Tbilisi. Theatre Factory 42 is designed for 264 seats and, in addition to performances, is focused on educational projects and the development of modern technology. Along with a completely unique stage and auditorium, the theater lobby is also quite busy and attractive with theater cafes and exhibition space.
