In Bruges

On Thursday evening, we’re watching In Bruges (2008) — a dark tragicomedy by Martin McDonagh, starring Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, and Ralph Fiennes.

The film centers on two hitmen who botch an important job and are forced to hide out in Bruges. One despises the calm and beauty of the small Belgian city, while the other falls in love with it. The perfect movie for a winter evening!

In Bruges continues our screening series dedicated to debut films. Martin McDonagh, a successful playwright and screenwriter, made a confident feature-film debut after winning an Oscar for a short film.
