Dear friends and potential friends from Russia and other parts of the world working with the Russian agenda — we are opening applications for the “Human Rights School” in Poland!
The course is organized by Frame and the Belarusian Human Rights School.
Please note that Frame has been designated as a “foreign agent.” We ensure full confidentiality of your participation.
In June, we will hold a three-day training in Poland: covering the basics of human rights and their history, discussing in detail what rights exist and how they are protected in courts, and learning how to engage in independent civic human rights work.
Trainers:
Andrei Paluda — human rights defender and trainer, Belarusian Human Rights School
Maxim Ivantsov — human rights trainer, Frame
In a supportive environment, we will explore the world through a human rights lens and study:
• Different concepts of human rights
• How to write a good law
• Basics of international humanitarian law
• Asylum systems and non-refoulement mechanisms
• History of human rights
• When and how to consider minority rights
• Human rights in international documents
• Mechanisms for protecting human rights
The program will use interactive methods and formats — no boring lectures.
Participation is free. We will cover accommodation and meals for all participants and may reimburse travel costs to Poland for a limited number of participants from Russia.
Important: A valid Schengen visa is required for participants from Russia during the training dates.
If obtaining a visa is difficult, follow our social media for announcements about trainings in visa-free countries.
We welcome applications from civic activists, human rights defenders, independent journalists, and anyone interested in learning more about human rights and applying this knowledge in practice.
