At the center of the story is a father who brings together his three adult daughters for a weekend. Each of them is facing her own crisis: one is stuck in a destructive relationship, another is desperately trying to hold her career together, and the third is only now realizing that adult life is far more complicated than she imagined.
They spend a few days filled with awkward confessions, old resentments, sudden admissions, and funny attempts to act like a “normal” family. But the deeper their conversations go, the clearer it becomes that even the most painful moments can draw them closer.
A delicate, observant, and deeply moving film by Azazel Jacobs about how difficult — and how essential — it is to learn to truly listen to one another, even when it feels like things have long since fallen apart.
