Description

A completely new and unique route that we explored today together with local guides and hikers!

We’re heading to the area near the village of Sioni and hiking to a complex of erosion columns with fascinating geological structures — formed as a result of heavy rainfall washing down the slopes of Mount Kabardzhina. The column-shaped rock formations, alpine meadows, and stunning views create a truly magical atmosphere.
Along the way, we’ll follow rarely used trails, visit our secret spots with panoramic views of Mount Kazbek, and climb up to 2400 meters! In a beautiful location, we’ll stop for a picnic break with blankets, tea, and sandwiches.

Why go with us?
This trip is led by our guide and friend Mikhail — a native of Tbilisi with over 10 years of experience in excursions, hiking, horseback riding, and travel. Energetic, engaging, and with a great sense of humor. This is more than just a hike — it’s a full-on adventure and sightseeing experience both on the road and along the route!

Location

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people. Tbilisi was founded in the fifth century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history, Tbilisi has been a point of contention among various global powers. To this day, the city's location ensures its position as an important transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi's history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and Modern structures. Historically, Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though its population is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian.
