Description

 

This is a scenic and easy route with beautiful views and a dive into the history of the German colony Elisabeththal!
We start from Freedom Square by bus to the Kodjori settlement (altitude about 1300 m).
We will see the fortress, the insta-staircase, viewpoints, waterfalls (bring swimsuits!), and a lake.
The route goes along forest trails and shady sections.
We finish in the village of Asureti — a former 19th-century German colony with a Lutheran church, a German cemetery, and old architecture.
Return by bus again, and it costs only a few lari.
The trip takes only an hour, but the pleasure lasts a lifetime!
Difficulty level: easy, mostly downhill.
Elevation change — mostly descending.
Suitable for beginners and enthusiasts.
Along the way, we’ll have a snack on a beautiful meadow.
