What comes to mind when you hear “Tusheti”?
Probably the iconic Georgian film "Mimino" and one of the most dangerous roads in the world. Yes, the opening scene with Kikabidze was filmed in Omalo, and while the road may be extreme, with an experienced local driver who's been going there for years — it becomes an exciting part of the adventure rather than a fear.
This is a region where your heart races not only from adrenaline but from the breathtaking landscapes. A place where traditions are preserved, the weather changes hourly, there’s no gas or full electricity, but solar panels power the essentials — and cell signal is a rare, joyful surprise.
Total detox and immersion in nature.
We’ll stay far from Omalo, in a remote village.
Expect 2–3 days of hiking out of a 5-day journey. The rest of the time — we’ll explore the local culture, admire endemic architecture, and get to know the unique Tushetian cuisine.
