Hike: Bateti Lake
The trail through the pine forest to Bateti Lake always reminds me of the painting “Morning in a Pine Forest.” Add a few bears — and the scene would come to life.
The hike is short but includes a lively uphill climb — and it's absolutely worth it. At the top, we’ll find a serene mountain lake, calm and mirror-like, where peace and beauty fill the air.
If we’re lucky, we might spot the rare Asian newt, listed in the Red Book. But one thing’s guaranteed — a cozy picnic in the heart of the forest.
As always, I’ll bring a portable stove and tea/coffee — just bring your good mood!
Before the hike, we’ll visit a unique monastery, and afterward, we’ll stop at a tavern for a meal of fresh fish.
