The first part of Saint Ephraim Male Choir’s programme is about remembrance and respect. Viktor Papp’s Ukrainian requiem is dedicated to the innocent victims of the Ukrainian war while paying tribute to the Ukrainian culture. The composition was premiered at the Franz Liszt Music Academy Budapest in February 2023 and was broadcast in the Hungarian National television shortly after.  "Requiem" was written using liturgical texts in Ukrainian and Latin. Viktor Papp is a Hungarian citizen, born in Ukraine and his mother is from Russia, so the composer found the unjust war even more painful and together with the Saint Ephraim Male Choir created the project "Road to Peace".  The piece has been premiered in several European countries for a year. The second part of the programme promotes hope and healing. Pieces by well-known Hungarian composers Zoltán Kodály and Béla Bartók are featured alongside hymns, gospels and songs in Greek, Georgian, English, Congolese and Hindi language thus creating a unique and engaging blend of classical, folk and crossover genres – a trademark of Saint Ephraim Male Choir. Start: 19:30
