Goodbye Lenin!

A heartfelt German film about the end of the Soviet GDR and love for her mother.

The mother of the main character Alex, a convinced communist and fervent supporter of the Soviet Union, falls into a coma just before the fall of the Berlin Wall. And then, fortunately or unfortunately, she wakes up. Alex is not ready to tell his mother about the collapse of her beloved country and decides to build communism in a single apartment, with the help of a friend and a girl. Using a huge number of clever tricks, the young people carefully maintain the illusion in the old woman that Lenin's cause still lives and triumphs.
