We depart from Batumi at 9:00 AM — the starting point is not far.
Hiking
We’ll hike to the summit through the lush Colchic forest, with scenic views of Batumi opening up along the way.
Total distance: 20 km
Elevation gain: 1,000 meters
Along the route, we’ll pass several small but beautiful waterfalls.
We’ll stop for lunch at the highest point of the trail.
At the summit, you’ll find ruins of old military structures.
If the weather is clear, we may see Batumi from the peak. But if a cloud descends, we’ll be inside it — a truly magical and mysterious experience.
Return
We’ll hike back to the car and return to Batumi.
Recommendation:
We highly recommend bringing trekking poles (available for rent), as the 1,000-meter descent can be tough on your knees — poles help reduce the strain on your legs and joints.
