The band Fran was formed in 2005 through the collaboration of Shota Zakaraya and Gaga Chikhladze. They brought a fresh voice to the Georgian music industry and quickly gained popularity.

Their music blends Georgian urban sound, folk, rock, reggae, and alternative genres, while their lyrics express love, freedom, and emotion — “simply flying in the sky.” Over the years, the band has held numerous solo concerts and released many singles.
