Photography laboratory “Light and material”

At the beginning of our meeting, we will analyze the physical laws of light reflection by materials and consider those types of light that best demonstrate their properties. Then we’ll talk about photographers who opened up new possibilities for seeing familiar things.

In the final part we will talk about artists who worked primarily with sculpture - Laszlo Maholy-Nagy, Richard Cera, Anish Kapoor, Marcel Broodhars, Jean Tinguely, Donald Jat and Eva Hesse. We will also trace how the materials from which the works are created relate to their content, and how light interacts with them.
