In the 1990s, Sonny Hayes was a rising star in Formula 1, but after a serious crash, he left the big sport. Thirty years later, Sonny lives in a trailer and makes a living by participating in various races and championships. One day, an old friend Ruben Cervantes, also a former driver and now the owner of an underdog racing team, asks him to join as a second driver and mentor for a promising young rookie.
