Forbidden Games

World War II. The parents of five-year-old Paulette are killed in an air raid, and she is reluctantly taken in by a peasant family. Paulette befriends the 11-year-old son of her foster parents, Michel. The children create a secret world of death, which they see around them. Gathering the bodies of animals and insects, they perform sacred rituals over them, and then bury them in an abandoned barn...
