Description

At the Academy of Thought, there will be a salon discussion with Ana Kiri.

Lecture Topic: "Renaissance Philosophy"

Renaissance philosophy covers a historical period that began in the 14th century and lasted until the 16th century. It was an era of great transformation when people's readiness for learning, science, and innovative visions of human life increased.

The key philosophical perspectives developed during the Renaissance include:

  • Humanism – recognition of human potential and capabilities.
  • Ideas of well-being – promoting a fulfilled and happy life.
  • Individualism – appreciation of personal uniqueness.
  • "Ethics of action" – focus on an active and responsible life.
  • Scientific and experience-based learning – development of fact-based knowledge.

Renaissance philosophy managed to revive new ideas where human rights and freedom became fundamental issues. These and other topics related to Renaissance philosophy will be discussed in the salon conversation on February 7.

Attendance will be possible both in person and online via Google Meet.
