All his life, George helped others to his own detriment, and when he found himself in trouble, he decided to take his own life. A guardian angel appears to him and shows George an alternative world where he has never been.

The classic Christmas melodrama “It's a Wonderful Life” is called the American version of “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath” - not for the plot, but for the undying love of the people.
