Film screening and discussion of the film “20 days in Mariupol”
On the second anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine, we will show “20 days in Mariupol” - a documentary chronicle of the first days of the Russian invasion. A team of Associated Press reporters, including director Mstislav Chernov, photographer Evgeniy Maloletka and producer Vasilisa Stepanenko, spent 20 days filming the city besieged by Russian troops
On January 27, 2023, the film won the Audience Award for Best Foreign Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival. The film was nominated for an Oscar, BAFTA and a Directors Guild of America Award. Overall, the film received more than 20 awards and 40 nominations around the world.
