Film Club at Auditoria: Screening & Discussion of A Simple Accident (Jafar Panahi, 2025)

This Sunday we will watch and discuss an Iranian film by director and screenwriter Jafar Panahi. The film is Panahi’s latest work — by a filmmaker known for his critical stance toward the Islamic Republic and for having been arrested multiple times as a result. Like several of his previous films, it was made without official permission from Iranian authorities.

The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2025, where it was awarded the Palme d’Or.
