About the exhibition:
The exhibition offers a critical exploration of Tbilisi’s geology through handmade three-dimensional models.
Visitors will see works created during a workshop led by Italian architect Renato Rizzi:
— an orthogonal model of Tbilisi
— a model of the Metekhi cliff
— silicone negatives
— photographs
— two panels: one with isometric drawings of the city and another featuring excerpts from Nino Haratischwili’s The Eighth Life (for Brilka)
The exhibition highlights the dialogue between architecture and literature emerging from the same historical and geological landscape.
The workshop took place in September 2025 with participation from around 100 students and young professionals.
“Ubani” is a non-profit organization dedicated to studying Tbilisi’s urban landscape.
Partners include the Embassy of Italy in Georgia, Venice IUAV University, Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, Ilia State University and others.
