Rusudan Gachechiladze was a prominent figure in contemporary Georgian art and a key reformer of Georgian portrait sculpture in the 1960s–70s. Her work is distinguished by psychological depth and clarity of form. She played a vital role in strengthening the presence of women in Georgian sculpture, enriching its visual language, and influencing generations of artists.
This exhibition is dedicated to her memory—a symbolic farewell that honors a remarkable life in art, whose legacy continues to shape Georgian culture.
ATINATI’S Cultural Center regularly presents works from its growing private collection, which now includes around 3,000 artworks spanning modernism to the present day.
