ABOUT THE FILM:

The story of the Ekdahl family, seen through the eyes of two children — sister and brother, Fanny and Alexander. While the family remains united and inseparable, the children are happy and free to indulge in wondrous dreams without fear. With the loss of loved ones, bitterness and resentment toward the world begin to grow within them.

Yet while Fanny strives to preserve the purity of her soul, Alexander withdraws into a dark and cruel inner world.
