Excursion "Georgian avant-garde. The beginning of the twentieth century"

We will explore the works of Lado Gudiashvili, Niko Pirosmani, Elene Akhvlediani, Kirill Zdanevich, Dimitri Shevardnadze, David Kakabadze, and other Georgian masters of modern-era painting.

We will discuss Georgia and Europe, their colleagues and contemporaries, the changing everyday life, familiar social norms, and political transformations.

The tour will be led by Pasha Rost—a painter, illustrator, and graduate of the Florence Academy of Art, specializing in academic painting.
