DOVLATOV’S BIRTHDAY

On Thursday, September 3 at 7:30 PM, we invite you to a special event celebrating Dovlatov’s birthday with our regular history speaker, Vadim Levshits.

He knew Sergei Dovlatov personally, although he was especially close to Dovlatov’s brother. This gives us a chance to talk not only about Dovlatov’s books and biography, but also about him as a real person — how he lived, relaxed, socialised, and spent his time.

It’s a rare opportunity to hear memories from someone who personally knew people from that era and can share vivid details and habits about Dovlatov that you won’t find in biographies.

The event will be hosted by journalist and historian Vadim Lifshits.
