Description

Our brain is wired for learning, while genetic regulation is aimed at adapting to the environment. During prolonged armed conflicts, these processes reshape human physiology. Even after the war ends, they continue to influence our behavior for many decades — both for participants and witnesses. We will discuss these issues, ranging from PTSD and childhood stress to epigenetic changes, regardless of the outcome of peace negotiations.
