Before jazz became sophisticated, smoky, and mysterious, it was loud, joyful music born in the streets — the kind of music that makes sitting still almost impossible.
This is Dixieland — one of the earliest styles of jazz, born in the early 20th century in New Orleans. Bright brass instruments, playful improvisation, marching rhythms, cheeky banjo grooves, and the feeling that the whole band is having the time of their lives — and pulling you right into it.
On May 29, we’re bringing the energy of old-school jazz to the stage:
trumpet, trombone, tuba, drums, guitar, clarinet, and banjo — the full Dixieland sound: warm, alive, and wonderfully chaotic in the best possible way.
Expect swing rhythms, spontaneous solos, vintage charm, and music that sounds like a parade suddenly burst into the room.
