“The Girl Who Leapt Through Time” is an anime produced by the Madhouse animation studio under the direction of director Mamoru Hosoda based on the novel of the same name by Yasutaka Tsutsui. The first screening took place in Japanese cinemas on July 15, 2006. On April 20, 2007, the film was released on DVD in Japan in a limited edition.
