Delicatessen

The owner of an apartment building, also a local butcher, feeds his tenants delicacies made from human flesh, the stocks of which are constantly replenished at the expense of the tenants themselves. The catch is that the short-sighted and nondescript daughter of the owner constantly falls in love with future victims. One of her crushes turns out to be too serious.

«Delicacies» is the first full-length picture by the creative duo Genet-Caro. And it was an amazing duet: the romantic Genet and the sociopathic Caro complemented each other very well. Together they made another film, – «The City of Lost Children”. After that, the duo broke up, and everyone went their own way. Genet blew up the media space with the romantic «Amelie», and Caro continued the gloomy, futuristic line.
