Where should we remember this eternal creative tandem, if not in Farajanov's hometown - Tbilisi, or in the Ukrainian house, in the capital of Georgia?On January 25, at 19:00, we are gathering to watch the film "Ghosts of Forgotten Ancestors" to see what the famous work of Kotsyubinsky is like as seen through the eyes of Sergo Farajanov. Literature and cinema are closely related. But in the history of art, there are very few examples of such interaction as in the case of the film director Sergo Parajanov and the Ukrainian classicist Mykhailo Kotsyubinsky.
In 2024, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Sergo Farajanov, the 160th anniversary of the birth of Mykhailo Kotsyubinsky, and the 60th anniversary of the film "Ghosts of Forgotten Ancestors".
