On April 19, Dada Dadiani — musician, producer, and pioneer of Georgian alternative music — would have turned 60…
Dada Dadiani emerged on the Georgian music scene in the late 1980s. In 1988, he founded the alternative rock band “Taxi.” In 1991, together with Irakli Charkviani and Kaha Gugushvili (bass player of the band “Recept”), he created the project Children’s Medicine. In 1993, he launched the experimental project Georgian Dance Empire with Bibi Kvachadze, Sergi Gvarjaladze, Gogi Chilashvili, Kaha Gugushvili, and Khatuna Managadze.
From late 1993, Dadiani lived and worked in London. In 2020, he returned to Georgia.
On June 18, 2025, at the age of 59, he “mounted his fiery horse and set off on a great journey…”
On April 19, we want his name, melodies, and songs to be heard loudly once again — to carry his life and творчество into new sounds.
