Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies emerged after the 2007–2009 financial crisis. Since then, Bitcoin’s price has increased by more than 1,000,000 times, and other cryptocurrencies have found their niche in the market. Since 2009, the world has not seen a major financial crisis. Is there reason to believe that a deep financial crisis is imminent? And if so, how will it affect cryptocurrencies?
