Cryptocurrencies and Artificial Intelligence

This Sunday, May 3, the third session of Pavel Usanov’s new course, “5 Problems of the Modern World,” will take place.

We invite you to join us either in person in Tbilisi or online.

The third session will focus on cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence.

We will explore how the economy is changing due to the rise of AI, how the labor market may transform in the future, and whether artificial intelligence poses a threat to humanity.

We will also discuss why cryptocurrencies challenge the modern financial system and whether its collapse is possible.

Together we will explore questions such as:

• Why is artificial intelligence one of the most important challenges for the global economy?

• Could AI increase inequality and eliminate creative professions?

• Are we heading toward mass unemployment?

• Is it worth using cryptocurrencies?

• Why is Bitcoin so volatile?

• How will the global economy change under the influence of AI and cryptocurrencies?

• Will we live in a world where technology replaces state power, or where governments gain total control through technology?

These and many other questions will be explored in depth during the lecture.

This session is part of the course “5 Problems of the Modern World,” which examines the most important challenges of our time — pandemics, wars, AI, and more.

Pavel Usanov is an economist, PhD in Economics, member of the presidium of the Ayn Rand Institute Foundation, and founder/director of the Friedrich von Hayek Institute of Economics and Law.

Pavel will also bring his books to the event. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase them and receive a signed copy.
