Description

On April 24, 1889, poet and public figure Ioseb Grishashvili was born. His creative life is deeply connected with Tbilisi and its urban character, which remains an inspiring theme for contemporary literature and art.

As part of the юбилейных мероприятий dedicated to Grishashvili, the National Scientific Library of TSU and the Faculty of Humanities at Tbilisi State University are organizing a scientific conference:
“Tbilisi Bohemia — Urban Stories of the 18th–20th Centuries in Literature and Art”, dedicated to Ioseb Grishashvili.

The conference focuses on research in literature, history, and art; new interpretations of cultural spaces; understanding historical and social contexts; as well as the diverse identities, language, and creative dynamics of the city.

Professors and researchers are invited to participate.

📌 Abstract Submission Guidelines:

Please include the following in a single MS Word document:

  1. Author’s name and surname (in Georgian and English);
  2. Title of the abstract (in Georgian and English);
  3. Organization (in Georgian and English);
  4. Faculty (in Georgian and English);
  5. Main text of the abstract (in Georgian and English);
  6. 3–5 keywords (in Georgian and English);
  7. Format — A4;
  8. Font — UNICODE (Sylfaen);
  9. Main text should begin on a new page, font size 12;
  10. Images must be in JPG format;
  11. Length — 300 words per language.

Cover page format:

  • Author(s) — centered, 12 pt;
  • Title — centered, 12 pt;
  • Organization (e.g., Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University) — centered, 12 pt;
  • Keywords;
  • Main text in Georgian and English — 12 pt.

Registration is open until April 30. Results will be sent via email after the deadline.

The electronic collection of abstracts will be published in open access on openjournals.ge and openscience.ge, integrated into the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
Each abstract will be assigned a DOI.
