Colored Lakes in Abudelauri. Excursion and Hiking with a Biologist

We invite you to visit some of the most beautiful lakes in Georgia — Mtsvane (Green), Lurji (Blue), and Tetri (White). Ahead of us is a stunning road with breathtaking views, high alpine meadows, blue gentians, blooming bellflowers, and orchids (we’ll encounter about 4 species). If we’re lucky, we’ll also enjoy some blueberries.

Climbing up to 2800 meters, we will see how vegetation changes in the last 100-150 meters of altitude. At around 2700-2800 meters above sea level, we will find the blooming Caucasian rhododendron — the pride of the Caucasus!

The round trip is about 12 km. The elevation gain is 700 meters.
