A three-part story in the spirit of Rashomon by the director of Gladiator. Two men and a woman each recount the same story of love and betrayal — but from entirely different perspectives. Each part is filmed in its own genre, reflecting the unique tone of its narrator.
A knight falls in love with the wife of his friend and neighbor. The offended husband appeals to the king, who rules that the rivals must resolve their dispute in a deadly duel. As we learn the story from each participant’s point of view, a third perspective emerges: while the men believed they were fighting over a woman, she experienced the events as an act of rape.
