Children's Urban Camp Session: “Animation Route”

In this session, we’ll dive into documentary animation and explore the city through the eyes of children!

Together with the Animathon animation team, we’ll talk about what kids like, who they meet, where they love to go, what sounds they hear, and what they notice on the way home or to the store. All of this will become the basis for creating their own short animated films.

Each participant will go through the full creative journey — from idea to animation: we’ll record sounds, collect stories, search for images, and animate using cut-out backlit animation, a technique where paper figures come to life on a light table.
