In form, this is a performance of text and music, but we like to call it an irritably percentage-driven adventure vaudeville — a phrase that most clearly reflects the poetics of the production.
We invite you to immerse yourself in a world where Chekhov’s characters come to life — intelligent, emotional, absurd, and humorous. Here, music is not merely a background or decoration, but the main driving force of the performance. The piano leads the action, sets the rhythm of the scenes, and creates the inner tempo of the piece. Through piano miniatures by Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Babajanian, Satie, and Shchedrin, Chekhov’s stories are revealed from an unexpected perspective.
