“Legally Blonde: Pink Against Patriarchy” is the second lecture from Lika Rodina’s series “Female Gaze: Cinema Heroines Then and Today”

"Legally Blonde" is a film about the dilemma of "beauty vs. intellect." Getting into Harvard, the fear of never becoming Jacqueline Kennedy, and gender stereotypes are just some of the challenges the protagonist must face.

During the lecture, we will discuss the clash between third-wave feminism and postfeminism, class inequality, and the idea of unity based on something beyond wealth.
