"Beyond Borders: Arto Tunçboyaciyan & Georgian Masters of Free Improvisation"

The summer session of the XIV International Festival of Contemporary Experimental and Ethno-Avant-Garde Art, Noumen Art, continues the spring series of events.

This time, the audience will witness a unique concert by legendary Armenian-American multi-instrumentalist and GRAMMY Award winner, Arto Tunçboyaciyan, performing alongside two leading Georgian musicians: Rezo Kiknadze (saxophone) and Guram Machavariani (guitar). The concert will be presented in the format of free improvisation.

These seasoned artists will create music live on stage, without any pre-arranged structure. A former member of The Zawinul Syndicate, Arto contributed to the acclaimed album Zawinul: Stories of the Danube(1996). As a sideman, he has recorded with Al Di Meola, Ron Getz, Arthur Blythe, Mark Johnson, Paul Motian, Henk Roberts, and many others.

This performance in Tbilisi, with Rezo Kiknadze and Guram Machavariani, promises an unprecedented synergy.
