Batushka, a black metal band hailing from Poland, emerged onto the extreme metal scene with a unique blend of atmospheric mysticism and intense, ritualistic performances. The band, formed in 2015, gained widespread recognition for their debut album, "Litourgiya," released the same year.

 

Led by a mysterious and enigmatic figure known as Krzysztof Drabikowski, Batushka's music is characterized by its haunting melodies, atmospheric arrangements, and a sense of dark, spiritual aura. Drawing inspiration from Eastern Orthodox liturgical music, the band weaves a sonic tapestry that transcends conventional black metal boundaries.
