Astro Trip for Meteor Watching

Day 1: Hiking
We arrive at the campsite. After lunch, we go hiking. The total route is about 10 km with a slight elevation gain of 100-150 m.
There is an option to skip the hike and stay at the camp.

Evening of Day 1: Astro Excursion
When it gets dark, we watch the stars from an altitude of 2200 m.
We observe the Perseid meteor shower — those famous "shooting stars" — while listening to stories about space from our naturalist and looking through a telescope. We learn to navigate the night sky.

Overnight in tents.

Day 2: Observatory Visit
After breakfast at the camp, we go on a tour of the only observatory in Georgia.

The cost of this excursion is included in the trip price.

Day 2: Mountain Lake with Salamanders
On the way back home, we visit a small but very scenic mountain lake. The water is cold and crystal clear. Swimming is possible.

The route is short but requires climbing up and down a steep slope to the lake.

Distance: 2 km
Elevation gain: about 150 m

Return home.
