Art Therapy Session for Adults and Teenagers

We will hold two versions of this event: one for adults (August 21) and one for teenagers (August 22).

Emotions are small and large processes inside us that we can feel. But what if we tried to trace them, and then capture them? How can we do that?

In the session, we will explore what emotions are and how they leave a “trace.” Through practice and exploration, we will discover how emotions find their way out: in gestures, movements, and on paper.

Through the lens of performance art, using somatic exercises and practices, we will attempt to catch what usually slips away: the warmth of a touch, the subtle echo in the body after movement, the shadow that changes shape. Then, we’ll transfer these traces onto paper.

In the second part, we will create our own small zine — a piece of art. Using techniques of manual printing (monotype, stamps, printing through tracing paper), we will transform our observations and impressions into a tangible story that can be taken with you.
